Code of conduct and complaints
Homeopathy is not a registered profession in Australia. Practitioners like me are instead covered by the National Code of Conduct for health care workers, which Queensland recognises under the Health Ombudsman Regulation 2024. It applies to me and I practise under it.
What the Code requires of me
- To provide services in a safe and ethical way, and within my competence.
- Not to misrepresent my qualifications, training or professional status — I am not a registered health practitioner and I do not diagnose.
- Not to claim to cure serious illness, and not to mislead you about what homeopathy is.
- Not to discourage you from seeing a doctor or from continuing treatment you have been prescribed.
- To hold professional indemnity insurance, which I do.
- To keep proper records and to protect your privacy.
If you are unhappy with something
Tell me first if you feel able to — hello@celestelangridgehomeopathy.com.au. If you would rather not, or if my answer does not resolve it, you can complain to the Queensland Office of the Health Ombudsman. They are independent of me and complaints to them are free.
